 Concert in the President Hotel
On June 11, at the President Hotel, the Mayaki Otchizny All-Russian Business Contacts Club held a round-table meeting with the topic of “Social Responsibility as a Locomotive Power of Modern Society”. In the end of the event there was a concert, in which Vardan Marcos, a violinist, and Lisa Monde, a singer, took part.

Pre-Opening-Night Showings of Musical “François Villon: Three Days in Paris”
At the Teatralnyi Tsentr Art Voyazh Theatre there took place two pre-opening-night showings of musical “François Villon: Three Days in Paris” by Lisa Monde.
This is the fourth work of the composer being staged. In 2007 she composed music for her musical Songs of Fairy-Tales, intended for children, and in the same year the Teatr Muzyki i Dramy Pod Rukovodstvom Stasa Namina Theatre saw a first night of her musical “Moscow-Paris”, while in 2008 Regis Obadia staged her rock-opera “L.O.V.E” (or, dance-musical, as it was also called by mass-media).

“Songs of Fairy-Tales” on the Children Protection Day
On June 1, declared to be a Children Protection Day, there took place a performance of Songs of Fairy-Tales, which was the last one in this theatre season.
It had been planned to finish the season by giving the 100th performance of the musical, but it may even be for the better that the plans were changed and the event, eventually, is to take place on September 1, known in Russia as Education Day.
And on June 1, to the Teatralnyi Tsentr Art Voyazh Theatre, where the performance took place, its usual audience, Muscovite schoolchildren, came, as well as special guests of Russian capital, that is those children who are presently being cured at its hospitals, and disabled children, too. For all little guests there was prepared a surprise: in the square in front of the theatre they were met by fairy-tale heroes in a most real fairy-tale car, just like the one in which the Boy and the Forester of the Fairy-Tale Forest would ride along the roads of the Fairy-Land!
And after the performance some presents and photo-sessions with actors were waiting for the little ones.
The festival had a big success. So, thanks once again to all those who helped to organize it!

In the end of year 2008 Lisa Monde was offered a role of Isabel in a musical, called Villon, staged at the Teatralnyi Tsentr Art Voyazh Theatre (7, Ulitsa Melnikova; phones 6759781, 6759792; www.art-voyage.ru). The nearest performances of it are expected on January 29 and on February 8, at 7 p.m.

Rock-Opera L.O.V.E: New Classic of the Genre?
That day it was raining hard in Moscow. As Russians say, in such weather a good master will not let his dog go out. The wind was rippling the Moskva-river sheet as hard as he could. He seemed to knock down everyone who would come to the quay. Yet, the house of Teatr Estrady theatre, situated on the bank of it, was full. It was the first night of L.O.V.E., a rock opera, written by Lisa Monde and staged by Regis Obadia, a noted French choreographer. Russian actors were engaged, though the language of the performance was English.

Lisa Monde’s Disc with a Record of Her Musical L.O.V.E. Has Been Issued at Last!
In the nearest future you will be able to bye a disc with Lisa Monde’s songs, written for her rock-opera L.O.V.E (staged by Regis Obadia). It is to be issued by Misteria Zvuka Company.
Premiere performances of the musical took place at Teatr Operetty theatre, Moscow, in June-July, 2008, while in the forthcoming theatre season the opera will be sung at Teatr Estrady theatre since September 12, 2008. The new album, sung not only by Lisa Monde but also by such noted singers as Vlad Topalov, Nikita Pozdniakov, Natalia Afanasieva and others, will be sold in the foyer of the theatre together with colourful booklets and souvenirs, having a logo of the project, styled as a tattooed shorter name of the opera, which is an abbreviation of its full name: Little Odd Voyage оf an Extraterrestrial.

Lisa Works Hard to Amuse her Potential Fans
Lisa Monde first met her fans more than three years ago, when a clip with her song Une Berceuse was first shown on TV. Since then, Lisa worked hard all the time to amuse her potential listeners and fans as well as younger ones.
She has already written more then a dozen of songs, intended for children, and also some instrumental music pieces for a series of radio programmes, called A Fairy Tale Before Going to Bed, which one was radio version of a five-disc collection, called Fairy Tales of Peoples of the World: Golden Pages; another significant work of the kind was Lisa’s musical for kids, called Songs of Fairy Tales. Now Lisa Monde, a composer and a singer, is working on her new “children's” project: she is writing music for a puppet-show, called Princess and Dragon. Songs for such characters of it as Prince Coriander, Princess Diorella, malicious lady-in-waiting Anaconda de Boa and a most kind Dragon, are already written. Now she has just to finish two last ones: the first one for King-Father Dior the Second and the second one for Hugh Goboss, a luckless suitor of the lovely Princess.

Rock Opera “L.O.V.E” Has Been Launched!
On May 26-27 Moskovskaya Operetta Theatre saw premiere performances of Lisa Monde’s rock opera «L.O.V.E». Or, it would be more correct to say, it was a ‘pre-premiere’ display, for the official ‘first’ night is planned to occur only in autumn. However, producers of the opera decided to get the public acquainted with it in order to elicit opinions, criticism and suggestions.

I am often asked to tell how I worked on Moscow – Paris, my latest musical. It should be said, that most of music, used in the musical, was not written specially for it. It happened so that the script-writer had suggested to include seven earlier songs of mine into the musical even before he started writing it.

Animated Cartoon Song
Lisa Monde has written Cartoon Film Song. It has been written specially for the main children’s festival of the year, dedicated to Children Protection Day. On this occasion, the Government of Moscow and its Education Department prepared a wonderful gift for Muscovite children: a Grand Festival in Lizhniky (Moscow). The festival was given the name of Cartoon Film Big Parade, and it lasted for three days, from May 30 to June 1.
