This new album is a part of a project, realized by Fortuna Al Publishing House, a company, known in the Russian book market for publishing not only highly artistic, but also unusual books. A book of verse by Mikhail Tarasov, called Seven Poetical Notes in Major and in Minor, is just one of such pioneering projects. Its seven notes – do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si – tune the reader to philosophical vision of the world, typical for this poet, where one can always find such things, rubbing shoulders, as Hope and Unbelief, Memory and Oblivion, Hope and Despair, Rest and Wandering, Homeland and strange countries, Love and Hatred, Happiness and Sadness. These are also those seven chapters which the book consists of.
Lisa Monde took part in this project both as a composer and vocalist, singing her own songs, written to Mikhail Tarasov’s poems, serving as their lyrics.
The audio album - which serves as a supplement to the book – comprises 10 songs: Piero (Pierrot), Ty Is Doma Ushel (You’ve left), V Etoy Dozhdlivoy Oseny (This Dreary Autumn), Albom Dali (Dali’s Album), Studencheskiy Sonet (Student’s Sonnet), Piligrim (Pilgrim), Nad Zimnim Gorodom Vstayet Rassvet (The Sun Rises over the Winter City), Vot I Noch Podoshla (The Night Has Come), Ya ne Znayu Chto Budet Posle (I Don’t Know What May Happen Later), V Kholodnuyu Zimniuyu Vyugu (When Dreams Get Numb With Cold Weather).
‘This project is a kind of some mixture of poetry, music, painting and theatre, which enhances emotional impact manifold. We may witness a new kind of art arising, which seems to have bright future,’ says L. P. Dorofeyeva, The Principal of Fortuna Al Publishing House.
