The phrase “behind the scenes” has minimum two meanings both in Russian and in English. Firstly, this phrase describes everything, happening behind the wings or the backdrop. Secondly, it means the same as backstage and describes actions or motions, staying unseen. We use the phrase when we mean that anything is deliberately kept away from public notion or anyone’s understanding. We say “It has stayed behind the stages” when we want to say that something is not known widely.
The name of our new rubric exploits both meanings. Of course, the spectator would like to see what is happening in the wings and behind the scenes; to get to know how performances are prepared, how actors and singers, directors and producers work. What is what we are going to describe here.
